LifeviewMD is a multi-specialty healthcare clinic dedicated to supporting health and vision through compassionate, patient-centered care. Through comprehensive services including eye care, lifestyle medicine, weight loss, women's health, contact lens services, and preventive healthcare, our mission is to help individuals make informed choices that support their overall well-being.
Led by Dr. Elisabeth Aponte, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Fellowship-Trained Glaucoma Specialist, and Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, LifeviewMD was founded on the belief that exceptional healthcare should address the whole person—not just individual symptoms or conditions.
Our journey began as an eye clinic in Duluth, Minnesota, providing comprehensive ophthalmology and optometry services, including glaucoma and cataract care.
Throughout her career, Dr. Aponte has performed thousands of eye procedures and is recognized for her expertise in the evaluation and management of glaucoma, glaucoma laser treatments, and glaucoma surgeries.
As she cared for patients over the years, Dr. Aponte noticed a recurring pattern: many of the health conditions affecting vision were closely connected to broader health concerns such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, poor nutrition, and chronic stress. She recognized that protecting a patient's eyesight often meant improving their overall health as well.
This realization inspired a broader vision for patient care.
Driven by a desire to help patients beyond treating symptoms alone, Dr. Aponte pursued additional training and became a Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. Through evidence-based lifestyle medicine, she helps patients address the root causes of chronic disease and improve their long-term health and well-being.
Today, LifeviewMD reflects that expanded vision. While maintaining a strong foundation in advanced eye care, the clinic has grown into a comprehensive healthcare destination offering vision care, lifestyle medicine, weight management, women's health services, contact lens care, and wellness-focused treatments designed to help patients thrive.
